Taranis Contracting is expert in building and maintaining all types and sizes of paved asphalt applications including roads, parking lots, and driveways in both commercial and residential settings. With both centralized and portable asphalt manufacturing operations, Taranis can provide a wide variety of top quality regular and performance grade asphalt mixes.
The size and diversity of our asphalt manufacturing operations and material testing laboratories let us serve both the private and public sectors in a time saving and cost effective manner. We manufacture and supply asphalt mixes for government projects at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels and for airport authorities and local paving contractors as well as making the mixes used in our own paving projects.

Replacement or refurbishing of existing asphalt pavement can also be done. During this process, up to 30 percent of the existing asphalt can be recycled into the new asphalt mix, reducing costs and waste.
Asphalt paving work done by Taranis can be seen in the roadways at the new John Street Landfill, the Lakehead Secondary School parking lot, May Street from Donald to Arthur, and John Street from the Thunder Bay Expressway to Algonquin Street.
